AI is changing how we learn, create and connect with the world. Today's students are growing up alongside it.

VinUni AI FutureBuilder helps students become thoughtful, responsible creators: using AI to build meaningful products and tell the stories of the places they call home.

Students can make a positive difference in their communities and beyond. Through their projects, they learn to identify real needs, handle information responsibly, respect cultural context, evaluate AI output and build useful web experiences with lasting value.

Who it is for
Students in grades 11–12. No STEM background or programming experience is required.
Format
Fully online: live teaching, guided labs, project work and peer feedback. Additional support hours are available as needed.
Location
Open to students in Vietnam and other countries.
Duration
4 weeks · 8 sessions · 120 minutes per session.
Focus
AI and web development through the AI Heritage Explorer project.
Teaching team
VinUni instructors, teaching assistants and Lab Coaches. Students complete short tasks, including videos before class, and can revisit learning materials afterwards.
What you will create
A publicly deployed website about a hometown, its history, culture, people or a place that matters to the student. VinUni AI FutureBuilders is designed to help students create trustworthy, distinctive digital products that bring value to their communities.

Explore AI, generative AI and LLMs. Choose your audience, collect sourced local stories and use a coding agent to build your first website.

Understand the parts of an application and where it runs. Improve your interface with AI, publish your website on Vercel and observe classmates trying it.

Connect chat to an LLM through an API and experiment with instructions. Use RAG to find your project materials, together with system prompts and grounding for evidence-based answers.

04ShareWeek 4 · Sessions 7–8Explore this stage

Apply AI ethics to improve content, privacy and user experience. Present your own demo, discuss feedback and take part in an Investment Hackathon using simulated investment points.

AI Heritage Explorer

Your hometown, its history, culture, people or a special place. Choose something meaningful to you and share its story with more people.

You will build a personal website with sourced content and an AI assistant for visitors' questions. The AI searches your website's materials, cites its sources and explains when there is not enough evidence to answer.

VinUni instructors, teaching assistants and Lab Coaches support you from your first version to the day you present your product.

Before class

Short videos explain how to join class, find learning materials and use the tools you need.

During class

Sessions 1–7 include 55 minutes of teaching, a 5-minute break and 60 minutes of practice. Each student builds their own product, with peer support in groups of three.

After class

Revisit the materials, improve your product and join support hours as needed. Session 8 is for demos and reflection.

What to know
about the FutureBuilder journey.

01Can I join if I have never coded before?

Yes. The program is designed for students in grades 11–12 and requires no programming experience. You will practise with a coding agent and receive step-by-step guidance from instructors, teaching assistants and Lab Coaches.

02Where will I study, and for how long?

The program is fully online over four weeks, with eight sessions of 120 minutes each. Students in Vietnam and other countries can join. The detailed schedule will be announced later.

03What will I create by the end?

Your own AI Heritage Explorer website with a public link, sourced content and AI chat connected to a real LLM, using your project materials to answer questions. You will check its answers, record a responsible improvement, demonstrate the product and write a personal reflection.

04Can I get support outside class?

You can revisit learning materials after class. The program includes preparation tasks and videos, peer feedback and optional office hours for additional support.

05When will dates and registration details be available?

Start dates, tuition and registration details have not been announced in the current syllabus. Further information will be shared before registration opens.
